We congratulate the team of the Faculty of law on another brilliant success, the victory in the Russian round of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition! The teams of 42 domestic high schools participated in this competitions. In the finals our team competed with students of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. The case under examination involved resolution of an international dispute on demolition of a cultural site
The SPbGU team acted as the plaintiff and was unanimously declared winner by the jury. Panel for the finals included highly experienced jurors, such as Gilbert Guillaume, head of the International Court of Justice in 2000 -2003; Nina Vaji?, the judge of the European Human Rights Court, and Michael Pyle, professor of international law.
