The “SaMI-2010” prize (winner is elected by reporters) was presented in Petersburg for the eighth time. Three new nominations were introduced this year: “Press photographer of the year”, and two special prizes were awarded to the best St.-Petersburg blogger and the company which was the most active in commenting.
The awardees were as follows: Interfax was declared the best news agency and Bizness-FM, which only exists for a year, but has already earned peers’ respect, was pronounced the best radio station.
Ksenia Poteeva, a reporter of Fontanka, was the third-place winner in the nomination “Press photographer of the year”; she shared her success with Pavel Markin. Valentin Ilyushin, whose works are well known to our readers, became the first-place winner Dmitry Lovetsky, who cooperates with multiple St.-Petersburg mass-media (including Fontanka) was ranked second.
Dmitry Puchkov (Goblin), Russian self-educated translator, author of numerous parody translations of Hollywood movies, writer and Internet publicist, was declared the best blogger.
The law firm S&K Vertical became winner in the nomination “For the most active comment policy”.
100 TV was pronounced the best TV channel. “Pyaty kanal” (the St.-Petersburg branch of NTV) was ranked second.
The first place in nomination of “Event of the Year” was granted to foundation of TV channel “Sankt-Peterburg”.
The first place in nomination of “Reporter of the Year” was granted to Andrei Radin.
The “Gorod- 812” magazine was declared the best print publication.
