The III annual conference themed “Market for Legal Services: Contemporary Trends” was held in St-Petersburg by “Vedomosti” newspaper together with law firm S&K Vertikal

On December 8, 2011, the III annual conference themed “Market for Legal Services: Contemporary Trends” was held in St-Petersburg. This time, due to large number of contributors the conference comprised two parts. Traditionally, Egor Noskov, partner of law firm “Duvernoix Legal”, acted as the conference speaker.

Natalia Chumak , partner of the English law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse was invited as the conference special guest.

Sergei Slagoda, managing partner of law firm S&K Vertikal made a report titled: “Russia and China: specifics of legal business”. Click here to see the presentation of report

Sergei's report is based on the fact that S &K Vertical provides legal support to Russian-Chinese projects. Vast experience was gathered over this period of time, and Sergei Slagoda shared it with the conferees.

Vladimir Romanovsky, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Institute for Enterprise Issues delivered a report concerning methods of competition on the legal services market.

The conference continued with the joint report delivered by Margarita Gaskarova, editor-in-chief of the Legal Success magazine, Pavel Karpunin, partner of Capital Legal Services, Andrei Shutov, Director Legal Affairs of Gazprom neft, titled “Tender as a sales channel for services provided by legal advisers.”

The next report of the conference was “Human resource management - a key element in strategic profile of legal business.” This theme was developed by: Marina Lushechkina, deputy editor-in-chief of the Legal Success magazine, Aleksandrr Vinogradov, deputy director general of Pepelyaev Group (Moscow), Natalya Nikitina, partner of the international law firm White&Case.
