Lubov Dujko participated in the X Mass-Media Forum of the North-West Region
The X Mass-Media Forum of the North-West Region was held in Saint Petersburg on October 18-19, 2012. This year it was held in the President B.N.Yeltsin Library, which is the first national electronic library in Russia.
The key subject of the forum has something in common with the theme year “People of Russia” declared by the President Library. Participants of the forum discussed the aspects of public communication that influence the information environment formation. In particular, they paid attention to the matters of crowd-sourcing and media environment, open network society, new requirements to journalism, interaction between social networks and media in reporting about extraordinary events. Presentation of the united media-resource of Saint Petersburg Government was also held during the forum; some spacebridges with Russian regions were organized. The exhibition “Media-Atlas of North-West Region-2012” was opened on the first day of the forum.
Lubov Dujko participated in the discussion “Open network society – informational democracy or virtual anarchy?” held during the forum on October, 18.
Participants of the round table came to the conclusion that all necessary conditions are present today in Russia for organizing the process of active interaction between the state and the society using the new information and communication technologies. Efficiency of implementation, support and use of the information communications has become one of criteria of quality of the state, and the new technologies of electronic democracy must become a part of provision of the whole system of the state authority on federal, regional and municipal levels.
